Face it; Life is busy. We mostly spend our days going about the usual norms of life, office, business, and housework. Sometimes you want to kick back and relax, shutting out the rants of your employers and clients. Yes, daily businesses to attend are a must; however, recreation is equally essential, and that too without breaking the bank at all.

Hot Spring County is a small town situated in the U.S state of Arkansas. An affordable getaway that everyone, whether young or old, can enjoy.

As the town's name suggests, Hot Springs National Park, a 5,500 acre one, is the main attraction. Its hot springs are the reason visitors are attracted to it, to relive all the fatigue they had gathered by soaking themselves in the relaxing thermal waters. Near the partk, you can find several small amusement parks.  One has around 5 roller coasters, one of which is the X-Coaster, the only one of its kind in the U.S. Additionally, there is also a water park with a few water slides.

The Buckstaff Bathhouse is a must-visit while you are in this small town. This Spa was established in 1912. It has been attracting many visitors throughout the years. Being in hot springs naturally includes baths for both men and women with water directly from natural thermal sources. There is also a small aquarium (National Park Aquarium) near the Park. They have a few exciting specimens like The African Mudskipper and salamanders. As a small aquarium, it can be a short educational trip at a low cost. 

If you are willing to step outside, about ten miles northwest of the small town, you will find the beautiful and stunning Lake Ouachita (image above) surrounded by Ouachita National Forest. The lake has over 40,000 acres of clear and clean water. While here, you can partake in various activities like boating, fishing, and Suba diving. The Park also has around 90 campsites, fully equipped with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Since you are here, of course, you would like to buy some souvenirs. There is a gift shop in the visitor center that you can visit just for that.

Garvan Woodland Gardens is also a nice place to visit. The garden comprises various natural and artificial attractions. The most prominent is the Anthony Chapel Complex, a breath-taking architectural marvel in the woods, where having a wedding is something to die for. Its unique design makes it astounding to be in. The famous Scott Bridge of the Full Moon is also something that is not to be missed.

There are many other attractions worth looking into, like a the Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo, Mountain Tower, the Gangster Museum of America, a casino resort, and much more. However, the primary goal of your visit to Hot Springs County should be to relax and enjoy yourself. It's ok if you cannot visit all the places, after all, that makes an excuse to pay another visit to this small town.
